Flintham Looks Forward, A Nottinghamshire Village 1913-1928 is now available from the Flintham Museum. The book begins by looking at life in Flintham during 1913 before moving on to detail how residents coped during WWI when so many men were away in France. The remainder of the book considers how village life began to adapt to new ways of working in post war Britain. There is one free copy for every Flintham household thanks to a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund. Other copies are available at £5 (plus p&p if appropriate) and can be obtained by contacting the Flintham Museum.
